遼寧東港市老子變身曹雪芹
據知情人透露，去年9月，市宗教局官員查封了玄都宮，並以「沒有合法手續」為由，欲拆除老子騎牛的露天造像。後經投資者與政府協商，這座露天造像得以被保留，但當地政府要求把老子像改成《紅樓夢》的作者曹雪芹像，於是老子像就變樣了。
至於為何把老子像改成曹雪芹像，當地一老年信徒認為，政府意圖把人對道教的信仰轉化為對古代文人的敬仰與留念，用偷梁換柱的方式淡化造像的宗教色彩，從而遏制宗教對人們的影響。
